Well what can I say, from the moment we were told where to sit, which was a booth. No issues there with being a booth,... but food scraps were on the table top and over one the booth chairs. So wasn’t a very good start for our first time. Then when we had to enlighten the staff about this we were told just sit where we want. Wonderful service. Uber eats screwed us around.. had to wait over an hour for delivery. It never came. We called La... Zucca and arranged pick up. To our pleasnt surprise. They recoiled the pizza for us as the other ones were very cold. They also cancelled the order and charged us restaurant pricing not inflated UE prices. And to make our night... They gave us the cold pizza as well. Very happy after a poor night. Oh. The pizza is delicious tooread more

Fast service. Great atmosphere. Coming home after a D'Aguilar mountain walk during Covid, we stopped here for our... first time. Ordered a spicy chicken & chorizo, $24 and a vegetarian $18. $4 extra for gluten free pizza base. The spicy chicken was good. Jalepenos and chunky chorizo. I was hungry! The vegetarian could have been cooked longer. I admit, I'm used to capsicum and mushrooms cooked longer. We nearly returned. I don't often leave low reviews. Rainy Tuesday called for a pizza lunch. After a quick search in Google La Zucca was one of the few open in the area so... headed down with some friends.Given it was a Tuesday we had the shop to ourselves. Very cosy atmosphere, they have done a great job fitting it out. Booths out the back and nice tables in the middle with lounge seating against the wall. I assume it was the owner that served us, she was lovely and took our drink/pizza orders.Big wood fired oven in the kitchen promised good things in the pizza department. We got a pepperoni and margherita (great pizza to get a baseline of any place). After a short wait we got our pizzas served to our table. The flavours on both pizza were decent. Napoli sauce was simple with a little kick of herbs. Cheese on each pizza again was decent and not overly oily. The only thing missing was that wood fired crisp. The crunch you get at the crust with a nice little crisp on the base. Unfortunately our pizza was floppy and powdery on the base, they probably could of gone another 5mins in the oven. For around $20 the pizza is fairly small for the price and will feed 1 person easily. Whilst it wasn't the best pizza, it was still decent and so its not a bad option of you are local to the area.read more

I live locally to La Zucca but had never realised it was there. Found it courtesy of a google search after yet another... disappointing pizza from one of the big chains.I walked into the restaurant (loved the decor) and it was full - that's usually a good indication.We bought the share platter (yum) and a chicken avocado Camembert pizza.. The best pizza north of Brisbane! Reminds me of the pizzas you get in Italy. There’s a real focus on quality... ingredients and the base. I’ve read some of the negative reviews but I would say don’t come here if you’re expecting a dominos style pizza that is greasy and overflowing with toppings. These pizzas are simple yet they’re done extremely well! Will definitely be back and recommend if you’re after an authentic Italian style pizza.read more

The best pizza outside of Italy!My wife and I were invited out by her sister and brother-in-law as they had won a free... pizza and drinks at La Zucca. We had a great meal and the craft beers were excellent! I had the Quatro meat pizza off their classic range and it was delicious, perfect thin crust and generous toppings.The store itself was intimate and inviting, friendly staff that knew when they were needed and when to stay away.The pricing wasn't over the top for a restaurant quality pizza, but the drinks (if we had to pay) may be a $ or two more than I would expect to pay.In all, I will definitely be back and certainly recommend this business.read more

I have to give credit where special acclaim is truly deserved. The small staff served 48 plus large Pizza here in a... small time. There were no leftovers , a couple took theirs home. I booked on line for a Pizza to be table served at 7.15, and 7.15 Pizza arrived. Well done. A small note the vegetarian pizza a wee dry. Good to see your business growing.read more

Delicious food, great atmosphere and very friendly staff! My family went here on the weekend to celebrate my brothers... birthday. At my request, they happily brought his cake out and sang him happy birthday with us. It was such a great experience. Will 100% be returning. Highly recommend the pizzas there! Bellissimo!read more

Have been a few times to La Zucca and I always look forward to going again. I have to be careful what I order to make... sure we are not too full to get a dessert pizza. The owners and staff are friendly and are welcoming. I also recommend trying their cheese and wine tasting nights for something a bit different tooread more

These pizzas are the best on the peninsula exceptional service and the dessert pizzas are amazing. You get a wide... variety of choices on the menu and it doesn’t disappoint. They have so much to offer from the starter platter, arancini balls, the pastas, salads, craft beer, local beer, wines, cheese platters, and live music on Sundays what more could you ask for.
